Product Description Compact self-contained unit has a self-priming diaphragm pump with an easy-pour spout and cap. Draws oil through dipstick using 12V power; works best when oil is at operating temperature. Unit stands upright or lies flat and stores easily. Includes dipstick suction tube, battery clamp leads, on/off switch and handle. Flow (GPM): 0.5, Tank Size (gal.): 3.5

Don't waste you time with this unit I am a long time boater this will not get the job done. I have used the 5 gallon oil changer units for years and thought this flat tank unit would be good since it should not be top heavy. The pump unit is too small and slow.
Chinese connections leak August 17, 2009 C. Mitchell (Kirkland, WA USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Even after I was warned by a fellow dockmate I bought this system. His leaked and mine leaked. Don't waste your time or money and don't sit there with paper towels trying to restrain the leak.
Decent but not great July 21, 2008 Jeff (New York) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This worked fairly well but did not drain all 5 quarts of oil (maybe 3 1/2 or so). Not a big deal on the boat as I don't use it that much so when I do a yearly change the oil is generally still clean. I wouldn't use it on a car as it is better to get all of the oil out when driven until it is dirty. I took at least a half hour to remove the oil I did get out of the engine and I kept turning it on and shutting it off so it would start up with good suction again. It is nice to be able to do a change at home and not pay the $85 per hour marina labor fees. I would recommend this unit for that convenience but there may be other models out there to research that work a little better.
