 Good and comfortable but get a peculiar smell after some time September 7, 2010

This Teva sandals are good and comfortable but they get a peculiar smell after some time. I tryed to wash them and the smell was gone only to reappear a week later. My guess is that the sandals are lacking the antibacterial covering.

So far so good. The last pair of Teva's fell apart due to the whole sole coming unglued after on 6 months of wear and they were classified as "water sandals." These are a totally different structure and they feel good on my feet.
Problem with straps August 22, 2010

The straps open inside (between two feet) rather than outside. There is a possibility that while you are strapping one shoe, you may be stepping on the other strap and if you move that foot not knowing that the strap is under the other foot, you may lose balance and fall down. I consiously separate the shoes, wear & strap one and then pick the other shoe and wear it. Just sliding your feet in them and then putting the straps, like we normally do, in this case, it is dangerous.

I was looking for a waterproof sandal for a boat trip. I need a sandal that has arch support. These Teva's are absolutely perfect on all accounts. They look good, size seems true, and they have terrific arch support.
