| Customer Reviews: Very Good August 17, 2010 Michael B. Jones Just got back from Canoe/Backpacking/Fishing on Isle Royale in Lake Superior. This seat held up really well under pressure for paddling in the canoe as well as fishing. I got used to adjusting the straps to give more tension when I needed. It also worked for providing support when sitting around the campsite.
Great Buy! July 11, 2010 Leighd I bought these seats for my husband and I to use in our canoe, we spend long days on the river and it's nice to be able to lean back. Our canoe came with the contoured plastic seats so I wasn't sure this would work but they were great!
A major improvement for our canoeing trips! May 25, 2010 Alisa S. (Charlottesville, VA) After we went on a canoeing trip last Fall and returned with sore lower backs, we decided to invest in some canoeing chairs. These chairs are sturdy, light, and comfortable. There is a velcro strap on the bottom to attach the chair to the canoe seat. The strap felt very secure and there was minimal movement in the seat itself. The net pouch on the back of the chair was perfect for holding water and sunblock. After a 9 mile ride down the Shenandoah our backs we just as fresh as when we started. The only drawback in that the seat frame in the back of the cushion is a little far forward. If you are trying to sit more upright then bar will cut across your bottom, which obviously get uncomfortable after awhile. If, however, you tend to lean back more (the rear canoe person is more likely to sit in this way)the chair is very comfortable. A great investment!
Love It! May 14, 2010 Earl M. Quijano (Glen Gardner, NJ) I bought two of these for my Coleman Ram-X 15 canoe. It is perfect, can't say enough about this product. Its really comfortable and I love the fact that you have an adjustable strap so you can choose the angle of the recline! We spend hours in my canoe fishing lake in New York and this seat makes it really comfortable. I would definitely recommend this product!
Great seat August 30, 2009 Michael L. Keon 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I'm in the process of restoring a very old canoe and these seats work fantastically. Very easy to adjust and they simply strap onto the existing wicker seating with velcro straps. I know that sounds like a cheap secure job, but the straps are long and strong enough to handle it. I highly recommend these to anyone who just wants a little back support for their canoes. Fisherman, these also have enough give for when you really need to dig back in your pull.
