| Customer Reviews: Water skis for children June 3, 2010 C. Fine 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
What a very well thought out system. The rope attaches to the stabilizer bar in the front of the skis, and from there, there is a rope that goes to the children's hands. This allows the skis to be towed, not the child. This helps in allowing the child to not have to have an immense upper body strength to get up. Don't worry about the child falling however. I was concerned about this until I realized that the other end of the rope does NOT attach to the back of the boat. (This would be scary as the boat would drag a fallen skier). The spotter in the boat holds a handle also attached to the stabilizer bar on the ski. That way, if the child falls, all the spotter has to do is let go of the rope. This forces the spotter to be vigilant in watching the child learn to ski. Once the child gets the hang of skiing, they just remove the stabilzer bar, and use a regular tow rope. Very nicely thought out. I loved the skiis so much that I bought an adult pair from the same company for myself.
